It sounds daunting at first, but don't be afraid!
My content management solution is based on an open source system called CMS Made Simple - the name says it all. If you're computer savvy, after an hour of instruction, the system will prove no challenge to you whatsoever! Even if you're not all that computer-friendly, you get a free hour of instruction from me, and a handy ready reference for adding pages, images, and all of the changes you're likely to need to make - it couldn't be easier!
The big selling point of a CMS is the long term cost benefit to your business. Due to the nature of the system, initial setup is more expensive than a basic website, but by spending a little extra at first, you'll save every time you update the site yourself. Need to change your store's opening hours for example? Having myself or another designer perform that change would cost you money. No matter how small, designers always have a minimum charge for their time, just like anyone else. With the CMS, you login, make the change, and it cost you nothing.
Just as your website is always accessible online from anywhere in the world, so is the administration panel of your CMS. This means you can update while traveling, or quickly respond to a change in the market place at any time of day or night!
